1m4mDOCUMENT FILE FOR "PROJECT APOLLO" HYPERBOOK0m
3mTHIS PROGRAM IS SHAREWARE0m
(C) Copyright Andrew Hill 1994.
4mMEMORY AND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS0m
All Amigas with 1 Megabyte of RAM. Tested on DOS2 & DOS3.
This program has been tested on both the A500+ with 1 & 2 megabytes
of RAM and A1200 with 2 megabytes of RAM. On the A500+ the program
works 100% correctly, and is able to load all samples and pictures
with no problems - this should apply to all Kickstart 2 Amigas.
However, on the A1200 incompatability occurs with the computer refusing
to load some samples or pictures from the disks, especially after the
larger samples had been loaded. I originally thought it was a RAM
problem (the symptoms were similar), but if you turn off CPU caches and
select the original chipset from the "Boot Selector Screen" all parts of
the program then work fine.
4mTHE DISKS0m
"Project Apollo" is a 3 disk set, the disks are named: Apollo-1,
Apollo 2 & Apollo-3. However, you will not receive the third disk until
you register by paying the registeration fee (see later in this text).
Do not rename these disks, or change the names of any of the files on
the disk. Doing so will cause the program to fail, as well as
infringing copyright.
Apollo-1 contains all the files needed to boot the disk, load the
program and show all the images.
Apollo-2 contains the sample files (the system will ask you to insert
this disk when you wish to play a sample). Apollo-2 also contain the
"Help" text file.
Apollo-3 contains all the digitised footage needed for the "Apollo 11
Picture Gallery".
Please note:- Although until you register you only have 2 out of the 3
disks, EVERYTHING works fine - nothing has been disabled EXCEPT the
Picture Gallery.
Project Apollo can be installed onto a harddrive by dragging the two
disks into a directory named, for example, "Apollo". A simple ASSIGN
statement added to your USER-STARTUP file should then allow the program
to work fine. For the Project Apollo program to be correctly installed
on your DH0: partition, it would look like:
Assign Apollo-1: DH0:Apollo/Apollo-1
Assign Apollo-2: DH0:Apollo/Apollo-2
4mTHE PROGRAM0m
This program is a presentation about the Apollo 11 mission to send man
to the moon. As you will probably know, 1994 (as I write this) is 25
years on from the time man first stepped on the moon. In 1969 Neil
Armstrong stepped out on the surface of the moon, something that will
never be forgotten.
I decided to produce this Hyperbook presentation because it was an
interesting subject to write about. I had plenty of information from
actual newspapers/magazines printed in 1969, and together with the
recent BBC2 TV program: "ONE SMALL STEP - Man on the Moon" it was
created.
I hope you find it interesting, and remember - this disk is SHAREWARE so
if you have looked at it and find it interesting/useful you should pay
the registeration fee of only £5.00. For this fee you will receive a
free "bonus disk" which contains digitised footage of the Apollo 11
mission (different to those images used in this program). As well as
this free disk, I will also send you information on any other disks
available (if I have created any more when you read this).
Details of registering is on the program, which can be selected from the
main menu.
4mCOPYRIGHT0m

ied/distributed as long as the following conditions are met:-
* The £5 registeration fee is paid if you choose to use the
program/install it on your hard drive;
* The contents remain unaltered;

For details on registering, please see the file "Registering" on the
